Improved filters will help to surface more relevant results, while 'keywords on the fly' lets you search by specific keywords without disrupting your workflow.
Freemium users now have access to our improved filters and search function. Here's what's new:
Improved filtering
Previously in Stotles, our filters used an 'or' logic. So, for example, if you had 'case management system; case management; patient record system' selected, your feed would return results which matched any of these.
We have now changed the logic to 'and', meaning that your feed will now show the results which match the combination of your keywords that you've selected. This way, your feed will show only relevant results.
N.B. Changes to your saved views:
In a small number of cases, you will notice that you have more saved views than you did previously. This is usually where a saved view previously had multiple 'or' filters, and has now been split out to work with the new logic. The results you see will be unchanged.
Keywords on the fly
You asked; we answered! You can now search for keywords directly from your feed, without needing to leave the page or changing your signal settings.
It's simple to do:
Click into your filters --> Click keywords --> Add the keywords you want to include or exclude
This way, you can quickly check results without interrupting your workflow.
Frequently asked questions:
Does searching by keyword save it to my signal settings?
No, it is only a temporary search. To update your overall search settings, go into signal settings as you would have previously.
What is the difference between filtering and using my signal settings?
Your signal settings help create a feed of relevant, personalised results. You can then triage this feed further by using your filters - and keep these as saved views so you can always return to them.
Keywords on the fly now also gives you the chance to search that feed in moments, without needing to interrupt your workflow.
