This article educates users with a Paid Stotles subscription before March 4th, 2025, on the migration of their Notices into Opportunities.
Opportunity Stages will replace Notice Qualification Stages. Both mechanisms are ways of qualifying the stage of contracts along your sales funnel.
This article explains the 'why' and 'how' of the migration.
What is changing?
In March 2025 we introduced Opportunities to Stotles. As part of this feature release, we removed the ability to 'Pre-engage' and set a qualification status on a notice detail page. Users will no longer see the option to set the stages shown in the below image.
Instead, if a a contract is relevant, users should click into the notice details page, hit 'Save' and 'Create Opportunity'. Once created, the Opportunity will automatically have the 'To engage' stage set.
Where can I find my previously qualified notices?
We matched the stage type of your original notice qualification stage to the most similar Opportunity stage and migrated your notices into Opportunities.
You can find all of your Opportunities (previously qualified notices), in your Opportunities view.
We have also migrated any notices that were assigned to your team but were not yet qualified.
See the image below for a guide of how we've mapped the stages.
Why did we replace the ability to qualify notices?
Opportunity stages essentially replace notice qualification stages. They are more in-depth and long-term versions of to how you enrich and progress actual Sales Opportunities through the funnel stages.
Rather than having just a standalone contract to qualify, you know have a fully fledged Opportunity you can move from stage to stage.
Opportunities connect contracts, to buyers, to decision maker contacts, to suppliers, to document snippets, to framework call-offs, all in one place.
What is the benefit of Opportunities over qualified notices?
Opportunities connect the dots across data-points in the app to help you create and progress qualified pipeline quickly.
You'll be better placed to begin outreach to Buyers. And you can connect multiple insights (notices, contacts, buyers, document snippets, suppliers & framework call-offs) in one place.
